Re: NZ Cowboys
Hi Nev,
welcome back
Nice Cowboy on the 1st picture.
The white handkerchief is not made by Timpo.
The coach driver on 2nd picture is damaged.
Those 2nd series legs are missing the overmoulded black belt.
The loose brown belt is for use with 3rd series coach driver legs.

Re: NZ Cowboys
Thanks Andy and Tom
Andy, I will have a closer look at the white necktie, why do you think it is not Timpo, because of the shape or because it is white?
The NZ Orange/red stagecoach driver legs I am told are very rare. Sorry but you are incorrect Andy, because NZ Timpo does not follow UK rules, those legs were produced here without overmoulding.

Re: NZ Cowboys
Hi Nev,
well its possible that Prestige did those driver legs without
overmoulding belt. The loose belt wont really fit on those
legs. Never saw this befor, sorry.
The fall of the folds is definitly 1st/2nd series.
The white necktie usually comes from the Honk Kong copies,
but maybe Prestige used white for them too. Everything is
possible, thats the magic of Timpo
Cheers

Re: NZ Cowboys
Hello Andy, yes there were white neckties here, I have about 10 other NZ timpo figures wearing them. And I bought them from a man who said he bought them like that from a shop when he was a boy.

Re: NZ Cowboys
Hi Nev,
wow, red legs and brown holster, a truly rare specimen - impressive.
I've only seen it once.
Maybe it's a standard cowboy in NZ
BTW: the pitch fork is from the farm series. As far as I know, the original cowboy should have a knife.

Re: NZ Cowboys
Thanks Michael, yes you are right about the pitchfork but I don't have any Timpo knives yet
About the cowboy, I thought the interesting part about him was the NZ orange/red colour, I did not know that the brown holsters were unusual too, so thank you for pointing that out. I do think they are common like that here in NZ.

Re: NZ Cowboys
Brown holsters are standard, but not on 2nd generation cowboys with red trousers.

Re: NZ Cowboys
Here are the pictures of my friend's spares, he wants to become a member here but technical problems have delayed that. The pictures are for discussion, when they go on sale, I will advise about that in the appropriate forum section.
Enjoy

Re: NZ Cowboys
rather interesting.
I know of Apache rifle shooters in lime green - allegedly there were only 20 - 30 of them in total.
Keep it coming

Hi Nev,
I was as if struck by lightning as I saw this picture. We all would be very happy if you could give up some pictures of the lonely Cowboys in this forum.
Claus.

Re: NZ Cowboys
Hello Armin
Yes they are genuine NZ Timpo orange legs, you are very lucky to have them as well, I am sure they are very valuable, only a few pairs known to exist.
